The Symphony of Horses is now sold-out!

The Symphony of Horses is unlike anything you have seen before. It is an elegant horse show set to live orchestral music as performed by the San Angelo Symphony. The show has a story line or narration that chronicles the evolution and history of the horse. Set to Classical and movie music, the production begins with the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors and continues through its adoption by Native Americans; the horse's participation in the English colonization with carts and fox hunters; the use of Cavalry in early wars; and finally as today's sport and recreational partner for equine enthusiasts. The idea was originally conceived and tried by Susan Pelletier at the Pin Oak Horse Show in Houston, Texas. The premiere showing of the Symphony of Horses with orchestra occurred in San Angelo in 2005.

More than 45 horses and 60 musicians will participate in this unique event. Riders for the Symphony of Horses include local groups as well as professionals from around the State of Texas. Local riders include the San Angelo Rodeo Ambassadors and the Fort Concho Cavalry. Additional performers include: world famous Charro Jerry Diaz and his wife Staci; Olympian Peter Pletcher; Dressage star Pam Fowler Grace; the TexCelentes Drill Team with their Paso Fino horses; Whit Watkins & Margaret "Punky" Fox;  Reining specialist Jeff Buckly; Lynn Walsh riding "Ocean Park;" the Dartmore Pony Team; and many others!

Join us the evening of Saturday, August 23rd at the 1st Community Federal Credit Union Arena for the Symphony of Horses!
